Figure skater Mao Asada runs her first full marathon at the Honolulu Marathon
Olympic figure skater, Mao Asada from Japan, will run her first ever marathon in Honolulu on December 10, aiming to finish in 4h 30min.
Mao Asada won silver at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, 6th place at the Sochi Olympics, and winner of the 2014 World Championships.
After retirement, she said “I want to run the Honolulu marathon”, and that dream has come true. Ms. Asada said, “As a former athlete, I’d like a challenge while having fun with high aims, I’d like to try under 4 hours and 30 minutes.”
