Race Update – November 24

Honolulu – November 24, 2021

A negative Covid test or proof of vaccination will now also be accepted to participate at the 2021 Honolulu Marathon.

On November 23, the Mayor of Honolulu further eased the restrictions for event participation. Participation at the 2021 Honolulu Marathon, Start to Park 10k and Kalakaua Merrie Mile, will be allowed by showing either proof of Covid vaccination or a negative test result taken within 48 hours of the event.
Proof of vaccination or a negative test result needs to be presented to Hawaii Convention Center staff at packet pick-up. If you are not vaccinated, your Covid test must be taken after 5am (Hawaii Standard Time) on Friday December 10.

Rapid antigen tests will be accepted – no home tests accepted.
These regulations are set by the City and County of Honolulu.

Packet pick-up

Packet pick-up will be at the Hawaii Convention Center

  • Friday, December 10 – 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, December 11 – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Please bring valid ID and either a negative Covid test result or proof of vaccination (applies to participants over 12 years old).
Covid tests need to be taken after 5am on Friday December 10.

Please note, there is no race day bib collection service and all participants must pick up their own race packs. No one will be able to pick up a race pack for a friend or family member.
