Honolulu Marathon Garmin Giveaway – Terms & Conditions

1. Sponsor
This Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by Honolulu Marathon Association, 3435 Waialae Avenue, Suite 200, Honolulu, HI 96816 (“Sponsor”), in partnership with Garmin International, Inc. (“Garmin”), who is providing the Garmin Forerunner 570 prize. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor and their immediate family members are not eligible. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

3. Agreement to Rules
By participating, entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Terms & Conditions and represent that they meet all eligibility requirements. Entrants agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding.

4. How to Enter
To enter, head to the @honolulumarathon Instagram account and:
1. Find the Garmin Giveaway post.
2. In the comments, tag two friends you want to bring to the 2026 events
3. Follow @garminrunning @honolulumarathon and @thehapalua on Instagram.

Entries that do not comply with these instructions or use fake, duplicate, or automated accounts will be disqualified. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter.

5. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. HST and ends on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. HST. Entries submitted before or after the Giveaway Period will not be eligible.

6. Prize
One winner will receive:
– One Garmin Forerunner 570 watch
– $500 in race entry credits valid toward any 2026 events within the Honolulu Marathon ʻOhana, including:
– Honolulu Marathon Weekend – December 12–13, 2026
– The Hapalua – Hawaii’s Half Marathon – April 12, 2026
– King’s Runner 10K – March 1, 2026

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $1,000 USD.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if any listed prize becomes unavailable. All federal, state, and local taxes and any other expenses not expressly stated are the responsibility of the winner.

7. Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries and notified via Instagram Direct Message from the official @honolulumarathon account on Friday, November 7, 2025. If the winner does not respond within 72 hours, another winner may be selected. The Sponsor is not responsible for messages that go to spam folders or are otherwise not received.

8. Rights Granted by Entrants
By entering, entrants grant the Sponsor permission to use their name, Instagram handle, and likeness for the purposes of winner announcements and future promotional materials related to the Honolulu Marathon ʻOhana events, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9. Limitation of Liability
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Instagram, the Sponsor, and Garmin International, Inc. from any liability, illness, injury, loss, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.

10. Disputes
This Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating, entrants agree that any disputes will be resolved individually, without resort to class action, and exclusively by the state or federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaii.

11. Privacy
Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.honolulumarathon.org/privacy-policy.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. Garmin International, Inc. has provided the prize but is not responsible for the administration of this Giveaway or the selection of the winner. You understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram or Garmin.
