RaceDayWalk2

START: The Honolulu Marathon Race Day Walk will be held in conjunction with the start of the Honolulu Marathon.
The 10K walk will start at approximately 5:25 AM, immediately after the start of the Honolulu Marathon.

COURSE: Walkers will gather at the Honolulu Marathon Starting Line at the Ala Moana / Queen Street Annex intersection and walk a 10K route to Kapiolani Park.

ENTRY FEE & DEADLINE: Entry fee includes event t-shirt and bib number. $60.00 until November 9. $70 after November 9.
After November 9, late entries will be accepted at the Hawaii Convention Center during race week.

PACKET PICK-UP & LATE ENTRY: Packets for the Race Day Walk are to be picked up at the Marathon Expo, Hawaii Convention Center, 1801 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu.
Shirts and packets will not be mailed. Each participant must pick up their own packet. No one will be allowed to pick up a packet for a friend or family member. NO EXCEPTIONS.

CHILDREN:  There is no fee for children 7 years and under accompanied by a registered parent.  Non-paying underage participants must still be registered in advance (at packet pick up).

Non-paying participants do not receive a t-shirt.

STROLLERS: If you have a stroller on Race morning, it must be kept at the back of the staging area with the Race Day Walk staging group so as to not interfere with the Marathon runners.  If you are commingled with the Marathon participants, one of our volunteers may ask that you remove the stroller from the Ala Moana Boulevard staging area.  For your own safety and the safety of the Marathon participants, please DO NOT stage with the Marathon runner groups.

Safety is our utmost priority for all participants.  In view of this, our Start Line staff will request that baby strollers and non-racing wheelchairs be placed at the back of the 10K Race Day Walk staging area so as not to interfere with other race participants.
By direction of the Honolulu Police Department and the Start Line Director, participants who delay the timely opening of the Downtown Honolulu streets to vehicles will be asked to use the sidewalk and sidewalk ramps.  Once the streets are open to vehicular traffic, those participants are mandated to observe all traffic signals and pedestrian crossing signals.
Additionally, if they arrive late to the Start Line staging area (after 5:25am), they will not be permitted on the full 10K Race Day Walk course as they will cause delay of street openings to vehicular traffic.  Arriving after the 5:25am start will result in being sent directly in the Diamond Head direction, thereby foregoing the four mile Downtown section of the course.

Thank you for your interest in the 10K Race Day Walk.
