Honolulu Marathon champions Ambesse Tolossa of Ethiopia and Alvetina Biktimirova of Russia returned to Kapiolani Park in Waikiki Monday to signed autographs and pose for pictures with their fans.

| Tolossa repeats as Honolulu Marathon Champ |
Ambesse Tolossa of Ethiopia won the Honolulu Marathon for the second consecutive year on Sunday, with a relatively slow time of 2 hours, 17 minutes and 26 seconds. His winning time last year was 2:13:42.
Five-time winner Jimmy Muindi of Kenya was second for the second consecutive year, finishing almost a minute and a half behind Tolossa. His time was 2:18:53.
Alvetina Biktimirova of Russia was the women's winner with a time of 2:33:07.

| Dutch Prince Finishes Second Honolulu Marathon |
After finishing his second Honolulu Marathon, Prince Pieter-Christiaan of the Netherlands said, "I feel great. It's hard to describe.''
The Dutch prince finished the 26.2-mile race in three hours and 51 minutes. He had hoped for a 3:30-3:40 finish. But he said his finish was "an accomplishment in these conditions.'' Brief heavy showers fell just before and just after the start, resulting in wet roadways. But the runners had mostly ideal conditions with no wind and cool temperatures.
